Summary of the poem Books

 The poem Books written by Eleanor Farjeon is really an eye opener to this generation's people. We almost forgot about books in this IT era.

       The poet said that books are world of wonder . Books has very important roles in our life. It gives new ideas and improves our imagination.

    When someone start to read a book his/her surroundings changes to a new world.  Books take us to another world.  Our body will be in the chair but our mind will be somewhere else.

        Every book is a magic box according to the poet. Books give a magic world to its lover. So the poem reminds us to read books instead wasting our time on cell phones.

 'To My Mother ' is a poem written by the famous poet Christina Rossetti.' To my mother' is Rossetti's first poem.                 The poem gives a beautiful picture of mother and child love.The speaker of the poem is a child who expresses his/ her love towards their mother.   First stanza   In the first stanza the speaker says that it is his/her mother's  birthday. The child has brought some sweet flowers as her birthday gift and the child will pray for her.
