To My Mother - Summary

 'To My Mother ' is a poem written by the famous poet Christina Rossetti.' To my mother' is Rossetti's first poem.

                The poem gives a beautiful picture of mother and child love.The speaker of the poem is a child who expresses his/ her love towards their mother.

  First stanza 

In the first stanza the speaker says that it is his/her mother's  birthday. The child has brought some sweet flowers as her birthday gift and the child will pray for her.

Second stanza 

In the second stanza the child wishes the mother all happiness and blessings for her long beautiful life.The child wants to receive all great happiness she will give to them.
